Job Description
We are looking for a personable, highly organized, and process-oriented customer service professional in our front office. The position works closely with our customers and sales team members to receive and process orders for supplies and equipment via email, phone, and in person while ensuring compliance with MarkPack’s standards and guidelines. In this role you will report to our Office Manager.
Responsibilities
- Use your 1-3 years of customer service experience, strong communication skills, and orientation for details to process orders, support unique needs of our sales team, make pro-active outbound phone calls to customers and generally assist the customer or other employees in any way possible while managing multiple priorities
- Be personable and relationship driven and be comfortable navigating gray spaces while knowing when to ask for support
- Bring problem solving and strong follow through skills to ensure that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers request in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner
- Leverage your strong technology skillset to navigate Outlook and Microsoft Office along with our ERP system with optimal accuracy and efficiency

Job Description
MarkPack, Inc. is currently seeking a skilled Purchasing Agent. This position requires good interpersonal and computer skills, including daily communication with sales, customer service reps and vendors. This job may involve printing reports, determining items to order, placing purchase orders, communications and negotiations with vendors and many other jobs. As well as assisting in all aspects of the business that have an impact on inventory and purchasing. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail. You should know how to evaluate market conditions and different suppliers. Communication skills will help you negotiate effectively and maintain profitable relationships. The goal is to acquire supplies that are critical for the success of our business operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop profitable purchasing strategies.
- Ensure inventory is available when needed.
- Maintain prices in companies’ software system.
- Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers.
- Prepare and implement effective supplier negotiation.
- Manage excellent relationships with key suppliers.
- Review supplies to ensure quality and conformance.
- Monitor stock levels.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports as requested.
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as a purchasing agent.
- Demonstrable experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions.
- Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and other software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong analytical mindset.
- Outstanding organizational skills
- College degree preferred in business administration along with 5-10 years purchasing experience.
